Manatoc Cent-O-Ree Sept 22-24, 2023
Troop 652G attended Camp Manatoc’s 100th Anniversary Cent-O-Ree celebration. Scouts learned about Scouting’s past including seeing antique cars, a 1923 reenactment of camp, and got to participate in the same activities that Lord Baden-Powell did at Brownsea Island. They also met and talked to scouts from other countries, participated in shooting sports, started merit badges, learned about ham radio, and did patch trading. Highlights included being part of the largest retreat at Manatoc of 2700 scouts in their troops and witnessing an Army Chinook helicopter land on the parade field and getting a tour of the helicopter! We look forward to the next century of Manatoc!
